RaceChip® Chiptuning – Chronicle
The developing team of RaceChip has been working in Chiptuning for 18 years. Take a look into the cores of our modules – we have nothing to hide. Because one thing hasn’t changed the last 18 years: our high standards of quality.
2012 | RaceChip® Ultimate is launched
After a laborious testing and developing period we are proud to present our latest Chiptuning innovation in 2012. Due to the most state-of-the-art modules and newly developed software the RaceChip Ultimate achieves even more improved performance output and response characteristics.
2011 | RaceChip® Ultimate is tested
Mid of 2011 the newly developed RaceChip® Ultimate has been tested and thoroughly checked. Final small modifications have been made and the tests repeated several times until beginning of 2012.
2010 | RaceChip® Ultimate is developed
At the end of 2010, the team of engineers of RaceChip ® started with the development of a new Chiptuning series of highest quality. Objective: Significant reduction of the reaction time of the micro processor on performance modifications and to improve the protection of the electronics.
2009 | New: ATMEL Processors in the RaceChip® Pro
2008 | 1. Pump-Nozzle Chiptuning Module of RaceChip®
A pump-nozzle module in digital technology for the first time: The new RaceChip pump-nozzle is another triumph of the RaceChip Company. From now on, the maps are optimized 25,000 times per second by means of the latest processor technology and SMD design type.
2007 | Common Rail Digital module in the smallest casing
Giant demand for our common-rail digital technology. Upon request of our wholesalers, the board layout was adjusted to other casing types. Ten-thousands were sold all over the world. With these electronics the customer is also able to individually set the desired performance via a 3-pole jumper. The rail-pressure signal effected twice.
2004 | RaceChip® uses radio for switching on and off
Distribution to wholesalers: Exclusively produced for retailers, the radio module was not directly sold to final customers. A lot of our retailers still use this module today. While driving, the customer can switch the tuning module on or off.
2003 | Engine performance is optimized in real time for the first time
With the ST6 of ST-Microelectronics a completely new tuning module along with an IP67-splashproof plug was developed. From then on, the engine control could be optimized in real time. The customer has the possibility to adjust the tuning power individually (power improvement and cut-off speed) via a 3-pole jumper.
2001 | NEW: SMD Technology for pump-nozzle electronic
2000 | 1. RaceChip® module for Common-Rail is ready for serial production
Invented 1998, installed in the first vehicles in 1999. Only 1 year after introducing the common-rail technology, the first tuning module for common-rail vehicles was available. At that time with a cable connector (jumper): Already in 2000 the customer could individually regulate his car’s performance. With this electronic system the customer was able to activate and deactivate the performance on his own. Inserting effected from one side.
1999 | 1. Tuning module with individual performance adjustment
1998 | Change from resistance tuning to Chiptuning
1997 | Last series production basing on resistance tuning
The last “resistance tuning” version: with the plug master – based on a SD9 master technology – the last series production of this module was manufactured. These were the first attempts to optimize distribution pump activation.
